So why work with me?

I am an ex-runner, and I understand the physical demands of sports on the body, especially when your body is not properly fuelled. I have since swapped the running shoes for the gym, as I am now interested in strength training (lifting weights).

Secondly, I studied Sports and Exercise Nutrition at the Master’s degree level, and I have worked with athletes from competitive sports such as triathlon, Muay Thai, boxing, tennis, field hockey, and marathon runners.

What is included?

  • Performance Needs Analysis

Needs analysis refers to a process of conducting a detailed analysis of the demands of the sport and the physical and mental profile of an athlete. This part is essential as it offers important information on the demands of the sport on the athlete and the nutritional status of the athlete, including what an athlete needs to maximise performance, strengthen the immune system, and reduce risks of injuries and infections.

  • Training Schedule: I need to understand your training schedule in order to be able to support you fully.
  • Diet analysis from a 7-day food diary: I will ask for a food diary to have a clear idea of your diet regularly.
  • Nutrition & Health Questionnaire.

Understanding these will allow me to design a bespoke and effective nutrition programme.

 

If you have any medical conditions, I have knowledge and understanding of them, drawing from my training and experiences as a registered nurse. This information is vital when designing clients’ meal plans.

  • A 60-minute initial virtual private consultation via Zoom/ Teams or face-to-face (travelling charges incur).
  • During this session, I will delve deeper into your eating habits, gaining an understanding of what is going on with your current health, exploring lifestyle choices and levels of physical activity, as well as your dietary preferences, likes, and dislikes.
  • Personalised meal plans for 6-12 weeks to support your training and fitness, including ongoing support and monitoring of progress.
  • We will look at ergogenic aids (Informed Sports supplements) specific to your sport and guide you.
  • Sleeping patterns
  • Match/competition/tournaments Nutrition: practical strategies of what to eat when travelling for a match/tournament/competition.
  • Fuelling Strategies: pre-workout meal plan (what and when to eat and drink before training)
  • During the workout meal plan: (what and when to eat and drink during training)
  • Recovery meal plan: (what and when to eat and drink after training)
  • Then, 45-60 minutes follow-up consultations weekly (online), which include, but are not limited to, the following as every client is different:
  • Q&A to support new food choices and habits, challenges in finding new food, etc.
  • Also exploring lifestyle choices/home/work/social environments that can hinder your training or competition meals (for example, factors such as eating out, working long hours, stress, barriers, and challenges towards your new eating habit
  • Lifestyle education and guidance on nutrition: This is specific to each client and their sport, as everyone is different.
  • Shopping lists with helpful, healthy tips and where to find the recommended products.
  • Access to me through WhatsApp, texts, and email every weekday for support between 9:30 am and 5 pm
